New gallery premises for Auction Atrium
			Auction Atrium has recently moved into our newly renovated gallery premises at 101B Kensington Church Street, London W8 7LN. We are located in the heart of West London’s premier antiques street, in convenient proximity to Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Rd. The 1500 sq ft space is set on three floors, complete with garden. The ground floor has a reception and valuation area, with the majority of the space devoted to the gallery. Visitors interested in specific items can view them both in the gallery itself as well as online. This applies to all items in our up-and-coming specialist and general auctions (see auction calendar). The grand opening of our new gallery was marked by a gala evening on the 28th of June to coincide with the annual Kensington Church Street Antique Dealers Association open evening. It was reported in the Antiques Trade Gazette (Dealers Diary 28 July) that the “bash was a most convivial evening all around, fuelled by the award-winning Martin Miller gin!”
	Specialist Auction BRITISH ARTS AND CRAFTS September The British Arts & Crafts movement has always been associated with a handful of pioneering artists /designers and entrepreneurs including William Morris, CFA Voysey, Archibald Knox, C R Ashbee and Arthur Lanenby Liberty, the founder of Liberty & Co. The movement began as a reaction to the industrial revolution and prompted a return to handmade native craftsmanship. The materials favoured by these designers were native English oak, Cornish copper, local pottery and pewter items made from Cornish tin. Auction Atrium has secured a number of important items for their upcoming British Arts & Crafts sale which will be available to view online and in our new showroom from the 20th September, with the sale finishing on the 30th September. Designs by Archibald Knox in pewter, silver, copper and Dr Christopher Dresser, Robert “Mouseman” Thompson, William De Morgan and A E Jones will feature ceramics along with objects. We are still actively seeking consignments for this sale.
