A selection of rare space collectables are to be put up for auction this month, it has been revealed.
The sale, which will take place in Toronto, Canada, will see a number of unusual and unique items go under the hammer, including a spacesuit worn by Russian astronaut Anatoli Artsebarsky and a control panel from the Mir Space Station, according to CanWest News Service.
Sean Quinn, of Waddington's, a Canadian auction house, said that the collection of 40 lots made up what was potentially the country's most interesting auction ever.
He told the news agency: "There's been quite an amount of interest on this. We're not aware of any auction as interesting [as] this in Canada before."
Other items included in the sale include a 1965 autographed photo of astronaut Yuri Gagarin and a variety of shuttle pieces from several missions, with presale estimates ranging from $100 to $25,000.
The auction is set to take place on March 31st.
