
On September 16th Sotheby's will be putting the works under the hammer with 54 other prints. The auction is expected to make £2.5 million in total.
The highlights are the Picasso prints. Le Repas Frugal (1904) is an etching from the artist's 'blue' period and depicts a man and a woman at a table with meagre provisions. It is estimated to fetch between £120,000 and £180,000.
James Mackie, senior expert at the Sotheby's London prints department, said: "We are thrilled to be selling this superb collection of works by Pablo Picasso, which is characterised by a range and quality, the like of which has not been seen at auction for many years."
Another print up for grabs is La Minotauromachie (1935) which portrays a minotaur and a pregnant woman lying across a horse. It is expected to reach between £400,000 and £600,000.
La Femme Qui Pleure (1937) conveys the horror of the bombing of the town Guernica. It should sell for between £500,000 and £700,000.
One of Picasso's paintings, the Pigeon and the Peas, was stolen from the Museum of Modern Art in Paris on Wednesday night (May 19th).
