
Christie's hosted Jewels: the London Sale in King's Street on June 9th and some of the pieces sold for more than their pre-estimated price.
A Belle Epoque diamond and aquamarine necklace by Koch fetched £145,000, realising five times more than its estimated price.
Several lots from Cartier were also sold including a seven carat circular-cut diamond ring, which fetched £337,000.
Another ring from the jewellery makers, a three carat rectangular-cut diamond was bought for £67,000.
Keith Penton, head of jewels at Christie's London , said: "The London sale encompassed a wide variety of jewellery ranging from the mid-ninth to the 21st century. Fine quality diamonds, natural pearls and signed jewels were especially sought after, exemplified by the Belle Epoque aquamarine necklace by Koch."
Other items that were sold included a natural pearl necklace (£253,000) and a ten carat Art Deco diamond ring (£73,000).
Cartier is a French luxury jeweller and watch manufacturer, established in 1847 by Louis-Francois Cartier.
